Breaking: Glenn Greenwald Resigns from the Intercept

Glenn Greenwald co-founded The Intercept.

The editors there wouldn't let him publish material that was damaging to Joe Biden.  The editors showed that they are partisan cowards, unworthy of being called journalists.  They will go down in history as not only quislings, but spineless hacks.

Greenwald, no matter what happens after this, will go down in history as a hero.  He understands the idea of a legacy.  His editors do not.

Here is Greenwald, at his finest, in the best paragraph of his resignation notice on Substack:

"But the pathologies, illiberalism, and repressive mentality that led to the bizarre spectacle of my being censored by my own media outlet are ones that are by no means unique to The Intercept. These are the viruses that have contaminated virtually every mainstream center-left political organization, academic institution, and newsroom. I began writing about politics fifteen years ago with the goal of combatting media propaganda and repression, and — regardless of the risks involved — simply cannot accept any situation, no matter how secure or lucrative, that forces me to submit my journalism and right of free expression to its suffocating constraints and dogmatic dictates."

Greenwald, like Matt Taibbi, has gone off on his own.  They have seen the nature of Corporate Media.  Even Greenwald called the SJW / WOKE movement a "virus".

If you're into journalism, and you want a legacy, then look at Greenwald's work.  If you're wanting to be invisible, and to go down in history as a weak thoughtless turd, look at his editors.

Your call.
