Have a Friend with TDS? Send Them HERE to Make it WORSE

Matt Taibbi has done the world a favor.

He has, in one place, put all of the Corporate Media  / Cathedral's Russia!! hoax material.  It is the Rosetta Stone of all the Russia nonsense spewed by the Cabal from when Trump became a serious candidate, to the very end this past January.

The TDS out there is so bad that Joe Scarborough, on a show no one watches, just called out the reporters who told the truth about the Russia hoaxery.  Taibbi issued an open challenge:

Key quote:

"If you’d rather not have me on, I’m sure someone on the more critical side would be happy to walk you through exactly how far short of “right, more often than not” your network has been in the last five years or so. Most of the major outlets were terrible on this story, but MSNBC’s particular brand of suckage was visible from space during the key years of Russiagate. Which I’m happy to lay out for you. Come on — no matter how it turns out, it’ll be great TV!"

We all see people online, particularly on social media, who have TDS.  They're easy to spot.  Even with: the border "challenge"; people in pods (not cages) at 800%+ capacity, gas prices sky high, Middle Eastern war back on the menu, financial crises, Ford plant to Mexico, Keystone pipeline farce, delayed stimmies, and a host of other clown moves, the TDS crowd is still out there with "hey it's not so bad, at least there aren't mean tweets!"

The Russia hoax list linked above is great fodder to link, or copy and paste and use with the people who seem to be relieved that things are 'now OK'.  Remember, it won't change their mind.  Anyone with that bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome  is beyond help (TDS 19?).

I used to do this kind of thing when I was on TWTR and FB.  At first I tried to speak respectfully and try to get people to think for themselves.  Then I tried to have healthy discussions and debates.  Then I realized that I was having no effect.  Then I did it just to sharpen my rhetorical claws on people's proverbial faces.  Then I got kicked off of TWTR.  Then I deleted both of my FB accounts.

If you have the energy to jump into the mud pile and swing haymakers - the Taibbi list is for YOU.  Good luck out there.

Scott Atlas Takes the High Road

My issue of Imprimis just came in the mail.

Scott Atlas talks about the direction of the country if it continues with the type of behavior he had to deal with during his time in the Trump administration.  All signs point downward.

He begins with this:

"The COVID pandemic has been a tragedy, no doubt. But it has exposed profound issues in America that threaten the principles of freedom and order that we Americans often take for granted.

First, I have been shocked at the unprecedented exertion of power by the government since last March—issuing unilateral decrees, ordering the closure of businesses, churches, and schools, restricting personal movement, mandating behavior, and suspending indefinitely basic freedoms. Second, I was and remain stunned—almost frightened—at the acquiescence of the American people to such destructive, arbitrary, and wholly unscientific rules, restrictions, and mandates.

The pandemic also brought to the forefront things we have known existed and have tolerated for years: media bias, the decline of academic freedom on campuses, the heavy hand of Big Tech, and—now more obviously than ever—the politicization of science. Ultimately, the freedom of Americans to seek and state what they believe to be the truth is at risk."

I agree.  I was stunned, and still am, at the malleability of the American mind.  The Media Industrial Complex can say whatever it wants, and people will comply.  It's quite incredible.

You can read what Atlas says here.  Or you can continue below.  But after going through the whole thing, I thought about the multiple people I saw today, alone, in their cars, wearing a mask.  I also recalled a guy at work, intensely religious, wearing two masks.  And I work in a school. After reading this you'll see how ridiculous both of those things are.

Here is the rest of the article:

Let me say at the outset that I, like all of us, acknowledge that the consequences of the COVID pandemic and its management have been enormous. Over 500,000 American deaths have been attributed to the virus; more will follow. Even after almost a year, the pandemic still paralyzes our country. And despite all efforts, there has been an undeniable failure to stop cases from escalating and to prevent hospitalizations and deaths.

But there is also an unacknowledged reality: almost every state and major city in the U.S., with a handful of exceptions, have implemented severe restrictions for many months, including closures of businesses and in-person schools, mobility restrictions and curfews, quarantines, limits on group gatherings, and mask mandates dating back to at least last summer. And despite any myths to the contrary, social mobility tracking of Americans and data from Gallup, YouGov, the COVID-19 Consortium, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have all shown significant reductions of movement as well as a consistently high percentage of mask-wearing since the late summer, similar to the extent seen in Western Europe and approaching the extent seen in Asia.

With what results?

All legitimate policy scholars today should be reexamining the policies that have severely harmed America’s children and families, while failing to save the elderly. Numerous studies, including one from Stanford University’s infectious disease scientists and epidemiologists Benavid, Oh, Bhattacharya, and Ioannides have shown that the mitigating impact of the extraordinary measures used in almost every state was small at best—and usually harmful. President Biden himself openly admitted the lack of efficacy of these measures in his January 22 speech to the nation: “There is nothing we can do,” he said, “to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months.”

Bizarrely, though, many want to blame those who opposed lockdowns and mandates for the failure of the very lockdowns and mandates that were widely implemented.

Besides their limited value in containing the virus, lockdown policies have been extraordinarily harmful. The harms to children of suspending in-person schooling are dramatic, including poor learning, school dropouts, social isolation, and suicidal ideation, most of which are far worse for lower income groups. A recent study confirms that up to 78 percent of cancers were never detected due to missed screening over a three-month period. If one extrapolates to the entire country, 750,000 to over a million new cancer cases over a nine-month period will have gone undetected. That health disaster adds to missed critical surgeries, delayed presentations of pediatric illnesses, heart attack and stroke patients too afraid to go to the hospital, and others—all well documented.

Beyond hospital care, the CDC reported four-fold increases in depression, three-fold increases in anxiety symptoms, and a doubling of suicidal ideation, particularly among young adults after the first few months of lockdowns, echoing American Medical Association reports of drug overdoses and suicides. Domestic and child abuse have been skyrocketing due to the isolation and loss of jobs. Given that many schools have been closed, hundreds of thousands of abuse cases have gone unreported, since schools are commonly where abuse is noticed. Finally, the unemployment shock from lockdowns, according to a recent National Bureau of Economic Research study, will generate a three percent increase in the mortality rate and a 0.5 percent drop in life expectancy over the next 15 years, disproportionately affecting African-Americans and women. That translates into what the study refers to as a “staggering” 890,000 additional U.S. deaths.

We know we have not yet seen the full extent of the damage from the lockdowns, because the effects will continue to be felt for decades. Perhaps that is why lockdowns were not recommended in previous pandemic response analyses, even for diseases with far higher death rates.

To determine the best path forward, shouldn’t policymakers objectively consider the impact both of the virus and of anti-virus policies to date? This points to the importance of health policy, my own particular field, which requires a broader scope than that of epidemiologists and basic scientists. In the case of COVID, it requires taking into account the fact that lockdowns and other significant restrictions on individuals have been extraordinarily harmful—even deadly—especially for the working class and the poor.

***

Optimistically, we should be seeing the light at the end of the long tunnel with the rollout of vaccines, now being administered at a rate of one million to 1.5 million per day. On the other hand, using logic that would appeal to Lewis Carroll’s Mad Hatter, in many states the vaccines were initially administered more frequently to healthier and younger people than to those at greatest risk from the virus. The argument was made that children should be among the first to be vaccinated, although children are at extremely low risk from the virus and are proven not to be significant spreaders to adults. Likewise, we heard the Kafka-esque idea promoted that teachers must be vaccinated before teaching in person, when schools are one of the lowest risk environments and the vast majority of teachers are not high risk.

Worse, we hear so-called experts on TV warning that social distancing, masks, and other restrictions will still be necessary after people are vaccinated! All indications are that those in power have no intention of allowing Americans to live normally—which for Americans means to live freely—again.

And sadly, just as in Galileo’s time, the root of our problem lies in “the experts” and vested academic interests. At many universities—which are supposed to be America’s centers for critical thinking—those with views contrary to those of “the experts” currently in power find themselves intimidated. Many have become afraid to speak up.

But the suppression of academic freedom is not the extent of the problem on America’s campuses.

To take Stanford, where I work, as an example, some professors have resorted to toxic smears in opinion pieces and organized rebukes aimed at those of us who criticized the failed health policies of the past year and who dared to serve our country under a president they despised—the latter apparently being the ultimate transgression.

Defamatory attacks with malicious intent based on straw-man arguments and out-of-context distortions are not acceptable in American society, let alone in our universities. There has been an attempt to intimidate and discredit me using falsifications and misrepresentations. This violates Stanford’s Code of Conduct, damages the Stanford name, and abuses the trust that parents and society place in educators.

It is understandable that most Stanford professors are not experts in the field of health policy and are ignorant of the data about the COVID pandemic. But that does not excuse the fact that some called recommendations that I made “falsehoods and misrepresentations of science.” That was a lie, and no matter how often lies are repeated by politically-driven accusers, and regardless of how often those lies are echoed in biased media, lies will never be true.

We all must pray to God that the infamous claim attributed to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels—“A lie told once remains a lie, but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth”—never becomes operative in the United States of America.

All of the policies I recommended to President Trump were designed to reduce both the spread of the virus to the most vulnerable and the economic, health, and social harms of anti-COVID policies for those impacted the most—small businesses, the working class, and the poor. I was one of the first to push for increasing protections for those most at risk, particularly the elderly. At the same time, almost a year ago, I recognized that we must also consider the enormous harms to physical and mental health, as well as the deaths attributable to the draconian policies implemented to contain the infection. That is the goal of public health policy—to minimize all harms, not simply to stop a virus at all costs.

The claim in a recent Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) opinion piece by three Stanford professors that “nearly all public health experts were concerned that [Scott Atlas’s] recommendations could lead to tens of thousands (or more) of unnecessary deaths in the U.S. alone” is patently false and absurd on its face. As pointed out by Dr. Joel Zinberg in National Review, the Great Barrington Declaration—a proposal co-authored by medical scientists and epidemiologists from Stanford, Harvard, and Oxford—“is closer to the one condemned in the JAMA article than anything Atlas said.” Yet the Great Barrington Declaration has already been signed by over 50,000 medical and public health practitioners.

When critics display such ignorance about the scope of views held by experts, it exposes their bias and disqualifies their authority on these issues. Indeed, it is almost beyond parody that these same critics wrote that “professionalism demands honesty about what [experts] know and do not know.”

I have explained the fact that younger people have little risk from this infection, and I have explained the biological fact of herd immunity—just like Harvard epidemiologist Katherine Yih did. That is very different from proposing that people be deliberately exposed and infected—which I have never suggested, although I have been accused of doing so.

I have also been accused of “argu[ing] that many public health orders aimed at increasing social distancing could be forgone without ill effects.” To the contrary, I have repeatedly called for mitigation measures, including extra sanitization, social distancing, masks, group limits, testing, and other increased protections to limit the spread and damage from the coronavirus. I explicitly called for augmenting protection of those at risk—in dozens of on-the-record presentations, interviews, and written pieces.

My accusers have ignored my explicit, emphatic public denials about supporting the spread of the infection unchecked to achieve herd immunity—denials quoted widely in the media. Perhaps this is because my views are not the real object of their criticism. Perhaps it is because their true motive is to “cancel” anyone who accepted the call to serve America in the Trump administration.

For many months, I have been vilified after calling for opening in-person schools—in line with Harvard Professors Martin Kulldorf and Katherine Yih and Stanford Professor Jay Bhattacharya—but my policy recommendation has been corroborated repeatedly by the literature. The compelling case to open schools is now admitted even in publications like The Atlantic, which has noted: “Research from around the world has, since the beginning of the pandemic, indicated that people under 18, and especially younger kids, are less susceptible to infection, less likely to experience severe symptoms, and far less likely to be hospitalized or die.” The subhead of the article was even clearer: “We’ve known for months that young children are less susceptible to serious infection and less likely to transmit the coronavirus.”

When the JAMA accusers wrote that I “disputed the need for masks,” they misrepresented my words. My advice on mask usage has been consistent: “Wear a mask when you cannot socially distance.” At the time, this matched the published recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO). This past December, the WHO modified its recommendation: “In areas where the virus is circulating, masks should be worn when you’re in crowded settings, where you can’t be at least one meter [roughly three feet] from others, and in rooms with poor or unknown ventilation”—in other words, not at all times by everyone. This also matches the recommendation of the National Institutes of Health document Prevention and Prophylaxis of SARS-CoV-2 Infection: “When consistent distancing is not possible, face coverings may further reduce the spread of infectious droplets from individuals with SARS-CoV-2 infection to others.”

Regarding universal masks, 38 states have implemented mask mandates, most of them since at least the summer, with almost all the rest having mandates in their major cities. Widespread, general population mask usage has shown little empirical utility in terms of preventing cases, even though citing or describing evidence against their utility has been censored. Denmark also performed a randomized controlled study that showed that widespread mask usage had only minimal impact.

This is the reality: those who insist that universal mask usage has absolutely proven effective at controlling the spread of the COVID virus and is universally recommended according to “the science” are deliberately ignoring the evidence to the contrary. It is they who are propagating false and misleading information.

Those who say it is unethical, even dangerous, to question broad population mask mandates must also explain why many top infectious disease scientists and public health organizations question the efficacy of general population masking. Tom Jefferson and Carl Heneghan of the University of Oxford’s Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, for instance, wrote that “despite two decades of pandemic preparedness, there is considerable uncertainty as to the value of wearing masks.” Oxford epidemiologist Sunetra Gupta says there is no need for masks unless one is elderly or high risk. Stanford’s Jay Bhattacharya has said that “mask mandates are not supported by the scientific data. . . . There is no scientific evidence that mask mandates work to slow the spread of the disease.”

Throughout this pandemic, the WHO’s “Advice on the use of masks in the context of COVID-19” has included the following statement: “At present, there is no direct evidence (from studies on COVID-19 and in healthy people in the community) on the effectiveness of universal masking of healthy people in the community to prevent infection with respiratory viruses, including COVID-19.” The CDC, in a review of influenza pandemics in May 2020, “did not find evidence that surgical-type face masks are effective in reducing laboratory-confirmed influenza transmission, either when worn by infected persons (source control) or by persons in the general community to reduce their susceptibility.” And until the WHO removed it on October 21, 2020—soon after Twitter censored a tweet of mine highlighting the quote—the WHO had published the fact that “the widespread use of masks by healthy people in the community setting is not yet supported by high quality or direct scientific evidence and there are potential benefits and harms to consider.”

My advice on masks all along has been based on scientific data and matched the advice of many of the top scientists and public health organizations throughout the world.

***

At this point, one could make a reasonable case that those who continue to push societal restrictions without acknowledging their failures and the serious harms they caused are themselves putting forth dangerous misinformation. Despite that, I will not call for their official rebuke or punishment. I will not try to cancel them. I will not try to extinguish their opinions. And I will not lie to distort their words and defame them. To do so would repeat the shameful stifling of discourse that is critical to educating the public and arriving at the scientific truths we desperately need.

If this shameful behavior continues, university mottos like Harvard’s “Truth,” Stanford’s “The Winds of Freedom Blow,” and Yale’s “Light and Truth” will need major revision.

Big Tech has piled on with its own heavy hand to help eliminate discussion of conflicting evidence. Without permitting open debate and admission of errors, we might never be able to respond effectively to any future crisis. Indeed, open debate should be more than permitted—it should be encouraged.

As a health policy scholar for over 15 years and as a professor at elite universities for 30 years, I am shocked and dismayed that so many faculty members at these universities are now dangerously intolerant of opinions contrary to their favored narrative. Some even go further, distorting and misrepresenting words to delegitimize and even punish those of us willing to serve the country in the administration of a president they loathe. It is their own behavior, to quote the Stanford professors who have attacked me, that “violates the core values of [Stanford] faculty and the expectations under the Stanford Code of Conduct, which states that we all ‘are responsible for sustaining the high ethical standards of this institution.’” In addition to violating standards of ethical behavior among colleagues, this behavior falls short of simple human decency.

If academic leaders fail to renounce such unethical conduct, increasing numbers of academics will be unwilling to serve their country in contentious times. As educators, as parents, as fellow citizens, that would be the worst possible legacy to leave to our children.

I also fear that the idea of science as a search for truth—a search utilizing the empirical scientific method—has been seriously damaged. Even the world’s leading scientific journals—The Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, Science, and Nature—have been contaminated by politics. What is more concerning, many in the public and in the scientific community have become fatigued by the arguments—and fatigue will allow fallacy to triumph over truth.

With social media acting as the arbiter of allowable discussion, and with continued censorship and cancellation of those with views challenging the “accepted narrative,” the United States is on the verge of losing its cherished freedoms. It is not at all clear whether our democratic republic will survive—but it is clear it will not survive unless more people begin to step up in defense of freedom of thought and speech.

The SPARK that Lights the Fire

One of the best military historians alive, William Lind, sees what's happening.  As an older guy with a wealth of historical knowledge, and no fealty whatsoever to the woke / progressive / liberal / Democrat beast, he writes in a refreshingly direct way. If you want unchained, politically incorrect analysis, you can find it here.

Lind cuts down to the bone in a few places.  I think he's right.

Here's the first hit:

"Great historic currents are often set in motion by small events. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand did not cause World War I–the cause was enmity between Austria and Russia that went back to the Crimean War, coupled with military plans that put a premium on mobilizing faster than your opponent–but provided the spark in the powder magazine."

Then he goes a little bit further:

"Such a spark is in the offing. Bowing to the demands of cultural Marxism and its “woke” fanatics, the Biden Administration is moving to re-name all military bases whose present names are those of Confederate generals. This is part of the Left’s hate campaign against the South, its history, and its culture, and more broadly its demand that whites continually abase themselves before blacks (not including the blacks who fought for the Confederacy, a non-trivial number)."

I told you so.  That's about as far away from mainstream or corporate academia opinion as you can get.  As a matter of fact, Lind writes the opposite of what we're told in the Main.  It's one of the patterns you have to recognize.  Usually the opposite of what the Cathedral is saying is what's actually true.  Following that pattern has worked for me.  Whoever is being 'oppressed' at the time, you can be sure that that Narrative is, at minimum, wrong, if not the opposite of what is going on in the real world.

You've seen how the 'asians are oppressed' Narrative was created out of whole cloth in the past month.  It literally came out of nowhere.  There's no evidence to support it.  There is no wave of any kind.  I've always wondered who at the top thinks up the next Narrative.  We know why they do it.  They just need more distractions and oppression narratives for the Herd, especially as the Stupid 19 story loses strength.  Social media is now filled with the Stop Asian Hate fodder for the farm animals.

Lastly, Lind explains his reasoning:

"But fighting men tend to have strong identification with things like regiments, service branches, and the historic names of their bases. The units based at places such as Ft. Bragg, Ft. Hood, and Ft. Benning identify with those names. In many cases, other family members often serve at those same bases for generations (as always, the Army’s most important recruiting ground is the rural South). All over the country retired fighting men share strong identification with the current base names. I do not find it difficult to imagine that when the new, politically correct base names are announced, the troops on those bases mutiny. If they do, they are likely to get strong support from veterans and from the communities that surround the bases.

What does the Washington Establishment do then? If it sends other military units against those resisting, they are likely to refuse the orders. So will the National Guard. So will the police. What now, Madam Under-secretary
?

I'm not sure Lind is right about that last part.  We just watched police and military do exactly as they were told when it came to enforcing anti-constitutional CV19 lockdown demands.  Hey, they're just doing their jobs right?  They've got a pension to protect, right?  He naively expects the military or the cops to disobey, in the name of 'freedom'.  Some will, but those numbers will be small.

Where he's right is the idea that an economic collapse is practically guaranteed to create a spark.  As the dollar loses value, it's possible that we will see the National Divorce proceed with increased speed. He ends with the economic point, and on that he's correct.  The only question is when.

What will your situation be like when the music stops?

Angelo Codevilla writes about the same topic, from a different angle, here.  Both of these articles were at Vox's site, to which I owe a great deal.

Texas MASK Update - Fauci Juice WORKS

Stupid 19 is the gift that keeps on giving.  Witness:

You like how I caught the surprised guy meme gif in mid shock.  I have to love myself for that.  My blog post game is tight rn.

The funny part of this is how people simply can't get past themselves.  Many of the replies are talking about the efficacy of vaccines.  It's like a religion now, on everyone's side.  There is no escape.

They say this despite the fact that even if you get the Fauci Juice you are told you STILL have to social distance and wear a mask.  If that's the case, then how can anyone explain the fact that 'cases' have gone down ... after dropping the mask mandate?  This absurd country we're in is devolving into some kind of hybrid Religulous  / Idiocracy hybrid.

Why did I put 'cases' in quotes?  Because this is the counting methodology in the 'modern' West:

And based on this, they are moving quickly to limit your travel, limit your movement, limit your fun, and basically control every aspect of your life.

Now I see how all the insanely violent things in the past happened.  The Powers That Be simply make everyone afraid, based on things real or imagined, and the Herd will comply and do anything for group acceptance and  / or safety.

It really seems to be that simple.

** I owe much of the rhetoric and nomenclature here to the Hoteps.  They've been on fire lately and deserve a listen / watch.**

They Are Working Overtime to Control YOU

Glenn Greenwald wrote a short article on how Congress is working overtime to get Big Tech to censor more of American's online travels.  GG's take on Jack Dorsey was quite interesting.  The paragraph on Zuckerberg alone made my yearly subscription worth the price:

The comment section on GG's articles is pretty good.  25% of them are Normies, wailing about "but don't they understand that the 1st Amendment says....?!?!"  These people haven't figured out that it's simply about control.  The globalist progressive Woke Hive Mind demands subservience, nothing else.  The constitution is a dead letter to them, unless it's convenient.

I posted this comment - a good one I think:

"Escaping the Cult of Free is part of the solution. Protonmail, Gab, Locals, BitChute, Substack, and other platforms are where people are heading. Big Tech got everyone in the pen because it was free. They've convinced you that you must use their platforms, and built up the most powerful flywheel in the human mind: HABIT. I remember when it was odd that companies were pushing their FB pages in your face. FB was a boring site where no one went.

Then 'suddenly' every major corp had a FB page. Even more interesting when you consider that ZBerg is obviously easy to control, and the Winklevoss twins are not. Even MORE interesting when you look at the gov't agency early funding of the site.

Youtube used to be a free place. Not anymore. It's time to move. These power hungry disgusting busybodies have no idea what the life of a regular person is like. These pols don't like it that someone might hear something that undermines their precious authority. This is a collectivist mindset and it's been around forever. They hate individuals who can think for themselves.

The people at Urbit have the right idea. Soon it won't be only the uber tech savvy people there, it will be many more.

The breakup and decentralization has slowly begun. Soon it will be the country itself. I think it will be a bumpy ride, but it's both good and inevitable
."

That's how I see things going forward.  Why would I want to live under any of these control freaks who have no respect for the Western past?  Not only that, why would I want to live with people who think like this:

Here's the money quote.  I know people like this, as I'm in NYC and the 'people' are, as the Perfume Nationalist calls them: shitlibs:

"When I asked a True Believer about all this last week – a man whose scriptures are the New York Times, the New York Review of Books and the New Yorker magazine – my friend told me I should stop watching Fox News.

After I pressed him gently on Russiagate, he told me that Trump had indeed colluded with Putin but that Mueller pulled his punches because he’s a Republican.
"

How any right minded person expects anything else other than some form of national divorce; I don't know.  Imagine talking to the person above, knowing that not only does that person live near you, but votes.

No thank you.

How to Avoid Biting on the Corporate Media FAKE

The view that I, and others, were talking about months ago has reached the mainstream.  This was in my work email inbox yesterday from one of our vendor partners.  They are a huge player in the high school to college acceptance pipeline:

This was a heretical view as recently as 3 or 4 months ago.  If you brought it up, you got the usual COVID!! screeching and hand wringing.  On social media you got the standard "well don't you know COVID is a thing" trope that the Woke Prog bots have been spoon fed to mindlessly repeat.  The Great Barrington Declaration wrote elegantly that not only were school age children not at risk, but that the ripple effects of lockdowns on young people would be disastrous.  Open the schools and let young people live their lives they said.

Despite the Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford pedigree of the GBD authors, they were crucified by the Ticket Takers in the Corporate Press and the Woke imbeciles on Social Media.

One thing I stress to HS students is that it's important for your personal health to recognize these patterns. Remember way back in the Before Times, in June 2020, when HUGE gatherings were fine?  I do:

Here's how you know the COVID hysteria in the Corporate Press and the Public Health Industrial Complex is wholly fraudulent.  Here's a list, from memory, of horrible events that were maligned and crucified in the Press as either terrible things by terrible people and / or a 'superpreader' event:
  • Super bowl celebration in FL.
  • Tom Brady wasn't wearing a mask.
  • DJT rally on Jan. 6.
  • Sweden's COVID policy.
  • Anti Lockdown protest in MI.
  • Spring Break fun in Miami Beach.
  • Every pro Trump Rally.
  • IA loosening gathering limits in Feb 2021.
  • Every common sense CV19 policy by Republican governor DeSantis in FL.
That's a list of things just off the top of my head.

But you see the rally above was not only acceptable, it was lauded.  It was celebrated.  Not once in the linked article is it mentioned that a gathering that large is a COVID risk.  The mostly masked crowd was given a pass.  You see the same hypocritical nonsense with the USA / Mexico border farce. Are the people flowing into the United States required to get their temperature taken?  Do they have to write down their names and addresses for 'contact tracing'?  Are they limited to 50% capacity?  All of these things are required for me to eat at the Dominican restaurant down the street from where I live.  Why aren't the same regs instituted down there?  I am a Bad Person for asking these questions.  So are you.

The point isn't the CV19 hypocrisy.  That's easy to spot, and there are plenty of people who do it better than I do.  Also the hypocrisy is built in.  It's always part of the script.  Its job is to foster anger and despair.  The message that I share with young people is that the people who rule us have no interest in your wellbeing.  One of their goals, among many, is power over large swaths of people.  That's it.

So when you see an email message like the one I got yesterday, you have to shake your head.  It signals the end of the Old Narrative, and now we can wait for the new one.  Now that even more damage has been done to the Black neighborhood and other areas left behind, and billions of dollars and capital have flowed upward to the Top, it's time for whatever the new harmful Narrative to emerge.

I wonder what it will be?

The Worst Ruling Class EVER - Explained on Video

In this last round of free money from the sky (stimulus checks), around 1 million dead people got a check.

Dead people.

So not only has the federal government replaced God as the giver of all things good to the people, it also has the incompetence (or maybe beneficence?), to provide money to dead people.

Rand Paul explains in this video that there are elected officials at the federal level who don't want that kind of behavior to stop.  They want to keep the checks to the dead flowing.  They rationalize it the same way they always defend the indefensible.

From stimmies to dead people, the clownish Fauci, and the destruction of the city formerly known as Washington DC, Paul explains how venal, absurd, stupid, incompetent and ridiculous our ruling class is.  I often talk about how we have the worst ruling class in the history of the human race, and this video cemented it for me.

Will the National Divorce be in 2030, 2033, or 2040?  I really think it's a matter of when, not if.  These people Rand Paul talks about rule over YOU.  Anyone thinking that FedGov is doing anything even remotely resembling what you learned in 6th grade Civics class is delusional.

The whole thing is a Woke, disastrous mess.  Our rulers are idiotic, and you owe them nothing.

Tucker and Tracey vs. The MEDIA

Not too long ago this interview would have seemed impossible.

I wrote about Michael Tracey previously.  He is one of the independent journalists who has been tangentially forced to go to Substack.  The Media Industrial Complex has become a ridiculous parody of McCarthyite SJW absurdity.  As a result of this Tracey and others have left the reservation.  Corporate Media is imploding.  They don't care that they're losing money.  The billionaire backers have plenty of federal reserve notes to last decades.  Keeping the Narrative going is more important.

If they wanted to succeed financially, they need to read this book:

As the corporate cancer metastasizes, odd pairings like Michael Tracey and Tucker Carlson on FOX happen.  Tracey was on Tucker's show, talking about what is happening in Corporate Media, and how it is trying to stifle any dissenting opinion.

Interestingly, what the garden variety conservatives were talking about for the past 30 years has come to pass.  The standard Conservative line was always that 'The Left' would eventually devour its own, and the useful idiots would be targeted eventually.  This is what's happening now.  The shame of it all is that the Establishment Corporate Conservative (TM) faction was always there to lose.  They were the Washington Generals for the Leftist's Harlem Globetrotters.  Stated differently, they had no intention of trying to win, they were controlled opposition.  It was a lucrative gig.  The price, of course, was heritage America.

Now you see dialogue that would have been unthinkable years ago.  Tracey is most assuredly not going to be invited on the MSNBC / CNN type channels.  FOX is his only option.  Glenn Greenwald has mentioned in the past that he was last on MSNBC years ago, and hasn't even gotten an invite in years.

The media landscape is changing.  The group (neoliberal / neoconservative) that has systematically taken over and destroyed These United States is lashing out in many ways.  Dissenting opinion isn't allowed.  Throughout history, this is how left leaning power groups always behave.  The recent attack on Substack is the media front.  The "covid passport" is the travel front.  They can't, and won't ever let you have any kind of freedom.

These strange pairings and discussions are part of the inevitable national breakup.  This is good.

The Tracey / Carlson interview is here:

Corporate Media Hates Competition - Going After SUBSTACK

I have subscribed to 4 Substack pages.  Greenwald, Taibbi, Tracy and Macris.

Paying for content, escaping the Cult of Free, and separating from Corporate Media and Big Tech is the way to go.  I'm looking into Urbit as well.  I won't bore you to death with the details of installing Linux on my mom's old MacBook and how that's working out.  Going hard core - feels good.

In this vein I can see other people with much larger platforms doing the same thing.  Substack has attracted people with some common sense and dedication to reality.  The Power Elite, the Keepers of the Narrative HATE that.  Michael Tracey is simply the latest to bolt from the Gatekeeper's Pigpen known as Corporate Journalism:

This exodus will continue.

The parasites and ticket takers at places like CNN have noticed.  They don't like it:

This will be interesting to watch.  Separation is going to continue, in practically all the venues in these fake United States.  Why do you think Bitcoin is hovering around $60K per coin?  I'll talk more about that later.

What's important to realize is that the people who rule over us, the worst ruling class in the history of the human race, has one philosophy: "It's OK when we do it!"

You, as human tax cattle, are to do as you're told, shut up, and suffer knowing that your betters are above all of the stupid 19 rules, as well as all of the other rules.  Rubbing your face in it is part of the script.  From Gavin Newsome maskless, indoors, in a crowd, dining with entertainment industry lobbyists....

To this:

None of it is about 'public health', or 'safety', or 'fighting the _______'.  It's all fake.

Once you begin the separation, it's liberating.

Iowa Gov Lifts CV Restrictions ... CV Numbers Go DOWN!

I will link to, and show you, the Washington Post article from February 10th:

The governor of Iowa lifted all restrictions.  What happened?  Did cases and deaths from CV spike?

No.

Tom Woods has been heroic in pointing out the outright stupidity of the Corporate Press and the Stockholm syndrome sheep who follow them.  I recommend you subscribe to his email newsletter because he had this come out the other day.  It's great:

"Today let's check in on Iowa -- remember Iowa, "the state that doesn't care if you live or die," according to the Washington Post?

Iowa dropped its restrictions five weeks ago (so the initial deaths in that part of the graph are lagging from before the restrictions were dropped). Notice that the trend not only isn't moving into the stratosphere, but is actually downward:
Oh, and "cases" are at their lowest level since August 2020.

While we're at it, here's Tennessee:
Scott Morefield wonders, "Would any of the so-called 'experts' care to explain how on earth Tennessee got to summer-level COVID-19 cases without a statewide mask mandate and with masked vs. unmasked counties at the same infection level?"

And finally, a Fauci update.

The Boston Globe just ran this headline: "Fauci says COVID-19 restrictions could be lifted before US reaches herd immunity."

Martin Kulldorff of Harvard Medical School responded:

"The futility of past/present lockdowns and their enormous collateral public health damage are obvious to more and more people. Politicians understand public opinion and are gradually shifting, and Anthony Fauci is superb at reading the political winds."

When you're pulling the so-called "science" out of your you-know-where, it's easy to shift on a dime."

--------------

Will the author of the WaPo article circle back?  Never.  Comments are closed for that article.  Will any of that matter with the Normies?  Not at all.  It's religion, and as soon as you realize that, things will get much easier for you.

Ignore the Corporate Press.  They're pushing an agenda, and have nothing to do with getting you the News.  I'll go a little further.  Anyone who sees information like this and can't change his mind on COVID!! and the mask / lockdown policy farce ... maybe that person should be kept at arms length.

The Death JAB

Marvin Hagler had a really good jab.  Unfortunately, there was one better:

Hagler had just gotten the Medical Kit jab. (I have to be careful as the Watchers take note of certain Flu like key words.)

If you'll notice, there are people dying after getting the CV Jab.  Instantly, after every case, they shout from the rooftops that the death isn't related to the vax.  Instantly.  Yet, I can't help but remember, in the Before Times (Spring 2020), when people would 'die of CV19!!', you'd read in paragraph 9 that they had late stage leukemia, or diabetes, or were obese with high blood pressure.  Some people had 2 of the 3 and were put on page one, in 99 point font, of dying of the CVFLU.

But here, now, when people die right after the jab ... oh no.  It certainly isn't the vax.  It is always "something else".  Funny how the Narrative controls events, even when they don't fit the Narrative.

Italy, apparently, has gone off the Narrative:

These people aren't playing:

"Italian prosecutors have opened a manslaughter investigation today after a music teacher died on Sunday - a day after receiving AstraZeneca's Covid vaccine.

The judiciary in Biella, in northern Italy, opened a preliminary probe into the death of 57-year-old Sandro Tognatti, whose cause of death remains unknown. They stressed that there is no link to AstraZeneca's vaccine at this stage and the probe is intended to establish whether anyone has a case to answer
."

"They stressed that there is no link."  See how that works?  There are now a bunch of these instances out there, but there is never a link.  I wonder why?

Greenwald vs. Big Tech

I've mentioned the small number of left leaning journalists out there.  Greenwald is leading a very small parade of people who are correctly noting and writing about the dangerous power of Big Tech.

Andrew Breitbart saw it years ago, but the mainstream did everything to destroy him, and then it literally did just that.

Now the chickens are coming home to roost, and Silicon Valley and the Corporate Media are both fighting each other and trying to work together to stifle any dissent.  If you at all veer from the Prog SJW BLM narrative, you are censored.

Greenwald and others are fighting this.  He and others spoke before Congress:

"The Subcommittee held a hearing on Friday and I was invited to testify along with Microsoft President Brad Smith; President of the News Guild-Communications Workers of America Jonathan Schleuss, the Outkick’s Clay Travis, CEO of the Graham Media Group Emily Barr, and CEO of the News Media Alliance David Chavern. The ostensible purpose the hearing was a narrow one: to consider a bill that would vest media outlets with an exemption from anti-trust laws to collectively bargain with tech companies such as Facebook and Google so that they can obtain a greater share of the ad revenue. The representatives of the news industry and Microsoft who testified were naturally in favor of this bill (they have been heavily lobbying for it) because it would benefit them commercially in numerous way (the Microsoft President maintained the conceit that the Bill-Gates-founded company was engaging in self-sacrifice for the good of Democracy by supporting the bill but the reality is the Bing search engine owners are in favor of anything that weakens Google)."

This is important work. It's a watershed event because you are seeing the small number of people out there who aren't simply vying for power, or jockeying for position in this New Order of the Media Industrial Complex.

Greenwald and his kind are people with standards. They want uncensored media, and are willing to take heat in order to defend it. These people are rare and deserve to be heard and supported. I subscribe to his substack page. You should know, they are trying to censor Substack because there is too much truth on it. Too many people who aren't slavishly following the Narrative reside there. Greenwald is certainly leading that parade.

Here is his opening statement.

The WOKE Takeover of School

Bari Weiss got booted from The NY Times because she wasn't woke enough.  Perhaps that's why she's writing for City Journal, one of the flagship magazines for Establishment Conservatives.  If you'd told me Weiss would write an article for City Journal 3 year ago I would have laughed in your face ... whoops, I mean xir face.

In this great article, Weiss details the insane woke philosophy that has permeated and destroyed once proud elite institutions.  These are prep schools, places where you pay $40K a year in tuition or more, are incredibly insular and private, and are seen as the pipelines to corporate and governmental power.

It's really a primer on how to render the upper class, people with plenty of money, powerless.  You'd think that if you were wealthy, you could go tell the woke post modern imbeciles to go somewhere.  It turns out you can't.  Because the university and the "left" has never allowed dissent, the SJW woke cancer has metastasized, and the prognosis is a certain death.

Witness:

"Brentwood, a school that costs $45,630 a year, made headlines a few weeks back when it held racially segregated “dialogue and community-building sessions.” But when I speak with a parent of a middle-school student there, they want to talk about their child’s English curriculum. “They replaced all the books with no input or even informing the parents.” The curriculum no longer features classics such as The Scarlet Letter, Little Women, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Lord of the Flies. New books include: Stamped, Dear Martin, Dear Justice, and Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass.

“The dean said to me, basically, it’s important to change with the times,” said the Brentwood parent. In a statement, Brentwood’s director of communications said: “Diversity, equity and inclusion are critical components of our education and our community at Brentwood School. The events of last summer created a call to action for all of us, in our school community and beyond.” Brentwood has announced a late-starting school day on March 10 for the lower school “due to our faculty book study of White Fragility.”

At Fieldston, an elective is offered to high school juniors and seniors called “historicizing whiteness.” At Grace Church School, seniors can take a course called “Allying: Why? Who? and How?” The curriculum includes a ’zine called “Accomplices Not Allies” that declares “the work of an accomplice in anti-colonial struggle is to attack colonial structures & ideas,” alongside a photograph of a burning police car. Harvard-Westlake, in its extensive antiracist plan announced this summer, included “redesigning the 11th grade US History course from a critical race theory perspective,” among many similar goals.

To question any of the curricular changes, parents say, is to make yourself suspect: “Every group chat I’m on with school parents, with the exception of my concerned parents’ group, they have a pattern of shaming anyone who shares anything remotely political or dissents from the group narrative,” one Brentwood mother wrote to me. “Once someone shames one person, many chime in agreement. The times I speak up to defend those they shame, they attempt to shame me.

I don't know what "Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass" is, but I had to laugh out loud at that one.

The strange thing, and the lens into the human condition is that these parents feel stuck.  In order for their child's success, the child needs to go to Harvard, and to go to Harvard they need to complete their schooling at this Elite private school.

Only when they realize that Harvard is as bad a joke as the ridiculous woke prep school, will they break out.

Ironically, here at the Bad Neighborhood school, we have almost none of this.  Parents want their children to get a good education, learn real things, and be able to navigate adulthood successfully.  When the student body has no white students (I've had no YT students in 19 years), the woke babble doesn't fly.

What these left leaning, Elite wealthy parents, being good D voting people (remember, Democrats are the good guys right?) don't realize, is that this is only about power.  Nothing else.  The Woke imbecile doesn't believe any of this.  Especially those at the top.  It's a power grab.  How else do you take over Fieldston, or Chapin, or Harvard-Westlake?  You can't do it through traditional means, you have to do it through SJW cancer.  And because your garden-variety white liberal bought into the multicultural, anti-colonialist, anti-capitalist idiocy, and all the -isms for the past 25 years, and pegged anyone right of center a terrible person... this is what you get.  Because these parents have no dignity or respect, and are filled with fear; they will lose.

They have to tell the Post Modern SJW beast to go F off.  I don't think they will.

This article is worth a look, but I have no sympathy.

The Narrative Shifts - Teachers Unions Are MAD

I can tell the narrative has shifted because now our school district alerts about COVID! are mellow and understated.  My district will have a few cases, the sup't will mention that a minor quarantine is necessary, and 'have a good evening'.  No histrionics, no 'stay safe', no alarm bells.

There is also a serious push to get students back in school.  The staff has completely returned, but the students are happy to sleep in, log on, and drop out.  In a school that normally has 1500 students in the building, we'll have 60 come in on any given day.

The parents are shaken by the year long death-fear porn fest on CNN and NPR.

But we're open, and trying to get students in the building.

However, some of the big city teachers unions are pushing back against opening - not wanting to go back to work.  This isn't surprising.  Who wouldn't want to stay home, get paid, and teach via zoom?  It's very easy.  Students don't learn anything, but it's very easy for the teacher.  I know a teacher who had "internet issues" for a few Fridays in a row, and couldn't log on.  Sorry kids.  True story.

This article goes into good detail about how the teachers unions are kicking and screaming about having to go back to work.  Adam Carolla has been talking about this a lot, and I thought he was just doing the standard Establishment Conservative schtick.  Turns out he was right:

Students have never been in any danger.  We've known this since April 2020.  No matter.  Klaus Schmidt, Bill Gates, and the rest of the Great Reset Crowd want more power, more control, and more money from the Vast Herd, so scaring them with COVID! 24/7/365 was the necessary game plan.  It worked.  Too well it turns out.

As usual, facts don't matter.

"Case in point: Washington D.C.’s Catholic schools have 17,000 students. Since the start of the school year, they have had only 200 known cases of COVID-19 and not a single hospitalization, even though most of the elementary school students are in-person every day (Catholic high school students in the diocese follow a hybrid model).

Most significantly, just 246 people under the age of 19 have died from COVID-19 in the U.S., according to recent data. More than 95% of deaths are among people older than 60. For the under-19 crowd, COVID-19 appears to be even less deadly than the flu.

But instead of trusting The Science (™), teachers unions are acting as if returning to schools is the equivalent of drinking the blood of a Covid-infected bat."

Again, none of that matters.  What does matter is that going back to work is "bad", and guess what?  It's the work of racism, sexism, and mysogyny.  I'm not kidding:

Here's the money quote:

"“Been feeling this lately. We can discuss the merits of reopening but the conversation cannot be rooted in white supremacy,” the user wrote. “White folks questioning BIPOC’s intelligence, especially women of color. Our ability to “understand the science.” The coded language is hella out of pocket.”

These are the people teaching your children.

Cuomo Says NO

There are many odd things about this Andrew Cuomo slow motion train wreck.

First, why is the darling of the D establishment, an Emmy Award winner, and a person spoken of as the anti Orange Man (presidential candidate?) getting skewered so hard?  Normally, this sexual harassment stuff would be ignored by the press, which means that for Mr. and Mrs. Normie, it didn't happen.  Why are the long knives coming out?  Why now?

Remember, this is the guy who was able to force NY'ers to lockdown and mask, even when it made no sense.  The fact that he killed 10,000 to 15,000 people with his ridiculous and disastrous nursing home decisions is OLD news.  If you weren't a serf to corporate media, you knew about this story in September 2020.  You mean you didn't see it on Facebook?  Or CNN?  Or in The NY Times?  I'm shocked.

So why now?  I don't know.  I do know this: Cuomo is unwittingly putting on a clinic as to how to handle the Woke SJW.  He's simply saying NO.  Gavin Newsome is talking about double masking, yet he had dinner at a $500 a plate restaurant, inside, in a crowd.  Does he care? No.  Remember # believeallwomen? When it was Kavanaugh, it was screamed at everyone.  Where are those people now?  Does Cuomo even care about them? No.  He's saying he won't resign.  And that's how you deal with the SJW Woke oddball.  You simply refuse to bend, grovel, apologize or scrape.  Look at Gov. Northam in VA.  Does the picture of him in blackface or klan robes slow him down?  No.  He said, really quietly, that he wasn't in the picture.  They just push back and refuse.  Make the Woke crowd push you out.  Always fight back.  Just say no.  Why the sleazy Democrat types know this and the awful, weak Conservatives don't is mystifying...

Tangentially related, we in NY are now allowed to eat inside a restaurant, like regular people.  The rule says 30% capacity, but every restaurant I've been in my neighborhood is ignoring that big time.  Maybe NYPD has let it be known that they're not enforcing it - I really don't know.  But the restauranteurs up here in the BX are waaaaaayy over 30%.  Good for them.

Rules are loosening up.  And in the fact free, logic free, science free world we are in, you can see why the Cult of CV19 can do whatever it wants.  We plebs were allowed to begin eating inside on February 12th.  The original date was the 14th, but restaurants wanted to get ready for Valentine's Day, so they changed it. That's science, in case you were wondering.

Here are the numbers leading up to OPENING.  Notice the trend down, and the 10th, 11th and 12th numbers of deaths per day:

So we were well over 100 deaths per day in NY, that means we can OPEN.  Let's look at December 12th, when we had to close.

NY was between 70 and 90 or so deaths per day. That means CLOSE.  Here's the best part of the Cult of CV19.  After the restaurant indoor dining ban, the deaths per day rocketed up to the upper 100s and low 200s per day ... while we were forced to not eat inside at a restaurant.  The numbers were still higher and restaurants were allowed to OPEN for indoor dining.

None of it matters.  The idea is you do as you're told, follow the SCIENCE and the experts, and shut your mouth.  So far, it's working.  For them.  They love it.

CA Governor Doubles Down on CLOWN

People wonder why I say 'clown world' and 'fake America' with some frequency.  This is one of the reasons:

You have to wonder what kind of leash the NWO has this guy on that he'd urge Californians to "double mask".  Unreal. The stupidity and clownishness have reached unbelievable heights.

Wait.  I do know what kind of NWO leash:

(Courtesy of CDAN)

There are now 16 states that are severely relaxing or removing the lockdown  / mask rules.

North Dakota is leading the way on this front:

This is the money quote - it's great:

"The bill’s sponsor, state Rep. Jeff Hoverson (R), called mask mandates “diabolical silliness,” characterizing them as a conspiracy run by “unelected, wealthy bureaucrats who are robbing our freedoms and perpetuating lies,” the Herald reported."

I don't know who Jeff Hoverson is, but he's got more sense than the governor of the largest state in the union.

When there is no uptick in CV19 numbers, will the press report it? No. Will Newsome show some humility? No.  Will the Cult of the Covid recognize it? No.

This has become a religion, and a strong one.  It's better to navigate your area as best as you can, and find like minded people.  I'm in NYC so that's really tough for me, but even here there are sensible people.  Not many, but we exist.

Most of my colleagues are incredulous about Texas and N. Dakota, and the other 14 states doing this.  In May, when I show them that there's no COVID!! to speak of, they'll brush it off and justify their worldview with babble.  That's how it is.  It took a long time for me to figure it out.

Forget trying to change their minds.  It's a waste of time.  If someone like Newsome can get to the top of the heap in CA, your friend on NormieBook can certainly hold on to even more nonsensical beliefs.
