Zero to Fifty: No Student Shall Fail: How a School System Collapses

We are being told that if a student doesn't hand in an assignment, he shouldn't get a zero ... he should get a 50. Think about that. If that's how you our your schooling had done it, how would you have reacted as a teenager? Do you want this weak standard for your children?  What does it teach a young person? 

This is how a school in a bad neighborhood gets even worse.
